Morocco is a wildly beautiful and excitingly exotic travel destination. From its rugged surf beach towns to bustling medinas, this is one country that will make you feel alive. After spending a few months in Morocco working, I fell in love with the helpful people, unique landscapes, and host of travel experiences available.
My favourite experiences: sleeping in the Sahara, haggling in the souks, watching the sunset in Tangier, sleeping on the rooftops in vibrantly blue Chefchaouen
My daily budget (backpacker): $20 AUD sleeping in hostels, eating at local restaurants and using public transport
Female Safety Travel Rating: 3.5/5 – relatively safe although petty theft is common and harassment/cat calling is common particularly in the cities
